Even within the same room, conditions can vary from one fan to the next. Outside wind, differences in wall insulation or the position of the air inlets can all affect temperature. The GE-AC automatically adjusts each fan to the actual conditions at its location, delivering a more uniform temperature throughout the barn.
Each fan can be configured with its own motor curve. This makes it possible to run motors of different make or models on the same fan stage while optimizing the performance of each one.
In addition to optimizing each fan’s operation, the module monitors its start-up. If a motor fails to start when it should be running, the problem is detected immediately and an alarm is generated.
The module continuously reports operating data for each fan, including:
- Power draw (W)
- Motor current (A)
If communication is lost or the controller fails, the module automatically keeps the fan running in a preset backup mode, maintaining ventilation and protecting the livestock.
Compatible with most AC motors.
BENEFITS OF INDIVIDUAL EC FAN CONTROL
- Runs each fan on the actual temperature at its location rather than a single average for the whole room.
- Continuously monitors the current and power draw of each motor and reports the data to the GENIUS controller. An alarm is generated automatically if a fan slows down, stops running or runs abnormally.
- Each fan can be calibrated to its own motor curve for optimal performance.
- Minimum speed can be set individually for each fan to optimize barn operation.
- The module installs easily on fans already in place, letting you modernize your ventilation system without replacing the existing AC motors.
- Built-in backup mode if communication is interrupted
- Temperature probe included with every module
- Existing fans can be modernized without being replaced
INSTALLATION AND CONTENTS
- Includes one 1 ft. temperature probe with every GE-AC module
